Welcome to the doctoral program in Clinical Psychology Program at Teachers College, Columbia University. The Clinical Psychology Program was founded in 1947-1948. It was APA-accredited in the first group of programs that were reviewed for accreditation in 1948 and that status has been uninterrupted. Our most recent site visit from the APA.
Today, the program has over 100 faculty members and over 80 graduate students, and spans two research campuses (Morningside Heights and Columbia University Medical Center) with a third research site soon to be completed between these two campuses at Manhattanville. The program is co-directed by Ai Yamamoto, Darcy Kelley, Ken Miller, and Wes.

Applicants who have a master’s degree in psychology from a recognized university are normally admitted fully to the PhD program, although on occasion, a student may be admitted provisionally. In this case, students would be fully admitted to the PhD program after successfully completing the first year of graduate study in our department.
Evening and Columbia Summer Courses. The department normally offers at least one lab course (currently PSYC UN1420 RESEARCH METHODS - HUMAN BEHAVIOR and PSYC UN1450 Experimental Psychology: Social Cognition and Emotion) in the late afternoon with evening labs.A number of other courses are occasionally offered in late afternoon and evening hours.
